Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Yendou uses cookies and similar technologies to collect, store, and share information about users of our website. By using our website, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this policy. You can withdraw or adjust your consent at any time, as described in "Managing Cookies" below.
Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary: Authentication
We use authentication cookies to keep you signed in and to prevent unauthorized access. These cookies are essential for the website to function and verify user identities; they expire when you log out. Because they are required for the website to operate correctly, they do not require separate consent.
Analytics: Google Analytics and Contentsquare
We use Google Analytics (provided by Google) and Contentsquare (provided by Contentsquare SA) to understand how visitors use our website, which pages they visit, and how we can improve. These set cookies and similar identifiers that collect usage information such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. Contentsquare may additionally capture pseudonymized interaction data, such as heatmaps, conversion funnels, and session replays, to help us understand and improve usability. We configure these tools to anonymize IP addresses where supported and we do not use them for advertising or cross-context behavioral tracking. Analytics cookies are set only where permitted, and you can opt out at any time (see below).
Embedded content: YouTube
Some pages embed video content from YouTube (provided by Google). We load these videos in privacy-enhanced mode and only after you click to play, so YouTube does not set cookies or receive information until you start a video. Once you play a video, YouTube may set its own cookies and similar technologies, subject to the privacy and cookie policies of Google and YouTube.
Third-Party Cookies
Our analytics providers, Google Analytics and Contentsquare, and our embedded video provider, YouTube (provided by Google), are third parties that set their own cookies subject to their respective privacy policies. We do not use third-party cookies for advertising. Third-party cookie retention periods are determined by the respective provider.
Managing Cookies
When you first visit our website, we ask for your consent through a cookie banner. Analytics cookies (Contentsquare) are set only if you select “Accept.” If you select “Decline,” only strictly necessary cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser, which will prompt the banner again.
If you do not want Yendou to use non-essential (analytics) cookies, you can disable them in your web browser's settings, or use the provider opt-out tools:
- Browser settings: most browsers let you block or delete cookies via the "Help" or "Privacy" menu.
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Contentsquare: use the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser, which Contentsquare respects, or opt out as described in its privacy policy.
- YouTube: embedded videos load only when you click to play. You can manage Google and YouTube cookies through your browser settings and your Google account.
Please note that disabling strictly necessary (authentication) cookies may prevent the website from functioning correctly.
Updates to this Policy
Yendou may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
